FLOODING HAZARDS, PREDICTION & MITIGATION (Armstrong.UNIMA)

Flood is defined as extremely high flows or levels of rivers, lakes, ponds, reservoirs and any other water
bodies, whereby water inundates outside of the water bodies area.
Flooding also occurs when the sea level rises extremely or above coastal lands due to tidal sea and sea
surges. In many regions and countries floods are the most damaging phenomena that effect to the social and
economic of the population.
